Collector is the second film in which Anil C. Menon and Suresh Gopi are teaming up together (the first being Rashtram). The film, has Suresh Gopi playing a daring, honest and duty-conscious district collector who spares no effort to bring to book corrupt bureaucrats, exposing their corruptions before the public in the process. \"Suresh Gopi plays the protagonist in the upcoming Malayalam film \'Collector\', directed by Anil C. Menon. Suresh Gopi dons the role of Kochi District Collector Avinash Varma in this flick. Avinash Varma is being called from New Delhi to Kochi, according to an order from the Chief Minister.
