Friends forever Director Shankar known for his grand ventures with mass themes has opted to do the Tamil remake of Hindi hit Three Idiots. Nanban is a campus story that features Vijay in role enacted by Aamir Khan in the original. Srikanth does what Madhavan did. Ileana replaces Kareena Kapoor. Speaking about the film, Vijay says, ' I'm lucky to have acted under his direction. I wanted to work with him for a long time. He is one of the best directors I have met'. Vijay says, 'Nanban is one of the best films so far in my career. I made lots of friends working in the movie including Jiiva and Srikanth'. On his part, Jiiva says, 'Shankar has no airs and has been encouraging, especially since my role is supposed to be comical. He constantly gave me instructions as to what I should do.' ' All the songs are catchy and stunning. But my favourite track in the movie is En Friend Pola, the Tamil version of All is well. It took us 14 days to shoot this song', says Srikanth. The movie brings together two big names - Shankar and Vijay. Obviously the opening would be big.,
