Haunted 3D: India’s first Stereoscopic 3D film
A year and a half on since the release of Avatar and over 3 decades post the release of India’s first 3D movie we are all set to witness a new milestone in Indian cinema. A milestone that has been modeled around the same filming technology as the landmark Avatar. Slated to release in April 2011, Vikram Bhatt's upcoming movie 'Haunted 3D' holds the distinction of being India's first stereoscopic 3D film.
Vikram’s most ambitious project till date, the film boasts of International technicians, who have worked in projects such as Resident Evil – The Afterlife, SAW 7, etc., lending their expertise to it.
Stereoscopic 3D is the latest form of 3D that creates depth in the shot and came into vogue after the release of Avatar. Like Avatar, the movie is shot using custom 3D camera systems and unlike a number of recently released films it is not converted to 3D from 2D. The technical crew of Haunted comprises of Brent Robinson (Stereographer), Christan Jeams and Cassidey (D.I.T) Micheal Reuben Flax (D M T). 3DCC's custom 3D camera systems were used exclusively during the production.
